Arundel’s Square and High Street have been widely featured on cards over the years, recording times from just a few people and many horses, to a busier modern world seen against a backdrop of changing shops and hostelries. The presence of the War Memorial dates this view to after July 1921, and the addition of the chain fence is evident from about 1923. The cars suggest it is not much later than that.
