Auguste of Frederikstad

This April 1911 Spry postcard shows Baltic Wharf, on the east bank of Littlehampton harbour, with the Norwegian Auguste of Frederikstad in the foreground. Beyond Auguste, timber warehouses can be seen while two unidentified Danish vessels are moored upstream.

Auguste was lost in October 1911 in the North Sea when her ballast shifted on a voyage from Littlehampton.
