Brewhurst Mill in 1906
This provides a view of the millpond, now vanished, and the sluices on the left. The publishers, Aylward, Smith & Co., were very well known for their Loxwood and Vulcan series of cards, and were based at the Combination Stores on the High Street.
The card, posted in London S.W. in 1906, was an invitation for a Mrs. Parsons to join the sender "tonight at 5 o/c". At the time, there were several posts each day which must have given confidence in swift local delivery.
