Published as one of the South Down Series No.5, by S.C.H., this early painted card shows a barge afloat near Henly’s barge dock. The tan sail is similar to that of a Thames sailing barge, so this may be the authentic colour. Further evidence of this can be seen on the Bury Barges card.
