Edward Tickner-Edwardes
Edward Tickner-Edwardes was vicar of Burpham from 1927-1935 and wrote a number of books about bees, both non-fiction and fiction. He also wrote the novel Tansy which was made into a silent film by Cecil Hepworth in 1921 using locations in and around Burpham. One of the locations was the cottage at Peppering, subsequently referred to as Tansy's cottage. This features in the Burpham video, as part of a short clip from the film.
