This view is looking out towards the harbour entrance and shows the Worthing Belle visiting Littlehampton on one of her regular trips from Brighton. The card was posted in 1908 but the picture was probably taken some years earlier. 

The message on the back of the card, addresed to "Dear old chap", is asking if the show is going well and praises the success of Macnamara's band and its songs, suggesting both sender and recipient are in the entertainment business.
